I am very confused. Are there possibilities to refuse the visa?
Yesterday father had interview in Canada and signed documents, then he received email this email from the Canadian Embassy in Rome

I'm confused here because you didn't explain about your story..I mean who is sponsor, who is applicant, when did you apply under which category & when the first part i.e. sponsorship has been approved etc.

The CIC letter mentioned that CIC asked you to submit passport for stamping visa but again you are saying that your father just interview in Canada and signed some documents! So why was that interview?

The process started before 2 years ago. We have submitted the full dossier prepared by lawyer in Rome together with all the things we are asked by email on date 20/10/2016.. medical exm criminal record ,photos for pr card etc. .. In proces is me, my brother,my mother, and my father was also located in Canada for 4 years where he won the trial as a REFUGEE PROTECT STATUS. Yesterday was the date of his intevistes in Canada and he signed for himself and for us on some files.The problem is that we do not have email by ambassy of Rome on 5janary 2017 to send passport for visa

Did you not apply via spousal sponsorship like the thread you are posting in?

I think you are in the wrong thread here...these part of the forum is for spousal sponsorship (citizen or permanent resident of Canada who are filing for spousal PR visa).

Please check with your lawyer asap to sort out the matter.

Odd....are you sure there weren't any gaps during that time?

Quite certain. They said i am missing the period 2014/11 and 2015/1. I reached CA 2014/11 and living here on same address since then. This was mentioned very much cleared on the form. However, the remaining part of Q8 was on the Word document. This time when I fill the form I wrote every year matching the end month of each year even if I lived or living till 2017. ughhhhh

Did anyone get request for fingerprints?
Feb 15, 2016 inland application, mycic still shows background check in process, but got an email for fingerprints today.
When I filed the application, I verified it was not required for my country applications(India).
Anyone has some info?

Per cic website they may ask for fingerprints when conducting the rcmp background check. It is a common request.

After almost 5-months our status of PR application in ECAS has changed to decision made.
So now decision made on both sides of sponsor login.

Timeline again:

Applied: 15th April 2016
AOR1: 21st May 2016 (Never got; date as per GCMS notes)
AOR2: 30th June 2016
Police certificate re-submitted: 21st Aug 2016 (Requested again in batch email 10th Aug 2016)
SA/AIP: 7th Sep 2016 (As per GCMS notes)
Medical received (My CIC): 7th Sep 2016
Status of medical changed passed: 23rd Sep 2016.

Any idea how long will it take now to get landing letter/Interview?

Yay!!!! Congrats!!! It all depends what office you'll be landing in....some are super quick and can hear within a week...others like Etobicoke are taking 6 weeks just to schedule the appt.

Generally most are told its the background check taking time.
