We could possibly still be in the area. If it's Friday morning. I plan to execute the plan I laid out:
- Park underground at KPL.
- Walk all of a few hundred feet to the CIC Kit office.
- Once completed and we possess a COPR, we will walk up to Service Ontario to update her OHIP account (OWP's get a temporary OHIP account -- need to have them flip the switch).
- Then walk back to Service Canada for a fancy Perm. SIN.

So, I told the boss that we plan to do all this....he agreed that you might as well just do it all in one go while you are there. So, I am out for the morning -- might work in the afternoon...

I was told there is no OHIP before PR and that you can only apply for OHIP if you work more than 6 month or something like that.

Congrats to rest of the guys with landing and emails from cic, it just makes me check my email more often even though I understand I should wait for at least 2-3 month more before getting any info from cic.

You mean my wife.... I have had OHIP virtually since I was born..

I was told there is no OHIP before PR and that you can only apply for OHIP if you work more than 6 month or something like that.

She has an OWP and is working full-time. With that, your employer can whip up a letter explaining the employment, and you can march into the nearest full-service Service Ontario office and ask for OHIP. They will grant it for the duration of the OWP. They granted is 3 months after she started working.

It isn't... His passport is valid for another month.

I keep hammering on the point, until she goes and gets it renewed . Nothing worse then being stranded in another country with an out-of-date passport! .

same as my husband so unknown or private number called me last Friday tell him to answer it no matter what

I have had my number for many years and get unknown numbers all the time, I will never answer them, they need to use email if they need to get hold of me

I firmly believe, in their case, the agent wanted to push this case out as fast as possible, and the belief was to cut out the near-useless rep that was in the way. They originally asked for a PP renewal, then it was mentioned that they would try to expedite the landing so his passport was still valid when landing.

For us, it was all email.
