). There is two things that you can encounter: Major health problems (like Syphillis, etc). Those they will attempt to treat first. Because they "pose a risk to society". Not to say this is you, but many strange things (like kids who are 11 show up with this) do happen.
There is also excessive demand threshold. For pre-existing conditions, they can evaluate further to see if it would pass the excessive demand threshold. Because Healthcare is universal here, it can pose a strain for the system. That's what they would evaluate here. That said, from what I understand, the excessive demand threshold is waived for spousal sponsorships.
In our case, the medical was already passed and accepted. They went to give my wife a decision, and decided they wanted an updated one (because it was technically no longer valid).
