If you order the notes, there will likely be remarks in there about WHY they are sending the application to the local office. Or you can just sit and wait for them to call you for an interview or something in 12-14 months and be surprised by what they want. It's your application, your choice.
Ok I will order and see thanks

When a file is sent to a local office it usually means there are concerns about the relationship or the admissibility of the applicant. At that point your application is not longer in the normal processing timeline and can take 2 or more years to get finalized. I would suggest that you apply for your GCMS notes and take a look at the reasons your file was transferred and try to counter act their concerns early on. Good luck.
I have ordered the notes. Thanks

Well mine was transferred to Etobicoke local office oct 4 of this year and i landed oct 19. There was no concerns so im not sure whats going on

Yes it said that. Said same exact thing yours said.

Don't be too alarmed, when it's Transferred to your local office, it just means there's a high chance they will request a relationship interview.
I believe the reference to 12 months means from the date your application was submitted to Mississauga (if you applied after Dec. 6, 2016).
I know this can be nerve rocking but they will make contact soon.

But like the letter said. It can be a relationship interview, more documents proof or just need clarification of things.

I am on the exact same boat. Married December 2015, applied April 2016, passed all my medical / criminal checks, sponsor application approved and November 2nd my file was transferred to local office for further assessment. Called CIC they said their processing time is its own and they can't give me any estimate but they mentioned I can extend my open work permit if its coming to an end. But I am good until October 2018. So hoping I get some response before that.

I am going to have a baby in April and I got a pre-construction property closing in August! So hoping for the best here.

Cheers.

Hey Wangab, did you get any response yet? I am still waiting and I am wondering if we can really do anything. I qualify on express entry easily. So also wondering if backing out of this application and reapplying under express entry is a good idea or not.... How long should we wait for really...

Looking forward to ur response.
