→ including CA$75 - Sponsorship fee
→ including CA$475 - PA processing fee

► Biometric Fees (unchanged)

Just wondering if anyone has any additional information regarding the PR fees. From what I can see on the government website, and other applications, the PR fees have increased from $550 to $825, however, when using the fee assessment tool the fees are still being calculated at $550.

The only change to sponsorship is the $10 RPRF increase. If you can't pay the right amount, see below:

Thanks, I was reading the increases to Economic class thinking it also applied to Family class.

In that case, it appears the online fee assessment tool is up to date, in that it is charging a $500 RPRF.

I submitted my application yesterday using the same tool and it came to a total of 1,305 instead of 1325. Im so confused right now. I get were in a pandemic, but how do they make a sudden change to the fees and then not even update the tool people use to pay their fees when ready to submit the app. Now they're going to send the application back. kind of frustrating.

wait so is it correct or not. my total came to 1305.

What did you pay for? If you paid the Sponsorship fee + Right of Permanent Residence fee ($1050) and OWP fees ($255) then $1305 is correct.

I read on their website that family sponsorship is now a total of 1325. I’m not sure what is going on. they really need to get it together.

I commented on the other thread as well with another link to the CiC website. Maybe it will help shed some light.

In any event, if you have paid more (which I think you have now) you can/will be refunded if the fees are indeed lower.

Yes I paid more. It was only 20 dollars, but I submitted a web form with the receipt showing I paid the rest. I’m wondering if they will still return it. I hope not. Did you pay the same amount in fees?

We are actually submitting our application today and paid the following:

Work permit - $155.00
Open work permit holder fee - $100.00
Application fee - $550.00
Right of permanent residence fee - $500.00
Biometrics for PR - $85.00

For what it's worth, we also confirmed this with the immigration lawyer that reviewed our file.
