Spousal Sponsorship - CSQ Urgent Question

Hi guys,

I have been reading a lot in different threads that CSQ processing time is facing massive delays of 4-6 months. My question is, the CSQ process time is included within the time frame estimated by CIC which is 12 months? Or the process of the application gets on hold once they request the CSQ, and it will resume after receiving it, meaning the application timeline will be extended far from the 12 months period?

Also on the Quebec Government website, they said the delay should not affect the issuance of the PR, does this mean this delay is not affecting the 12-months timeline?

It is very confusing.

If anyone can please give us more information as there is not much online.

They still process the application while waiting for the CSQ. In my case, I received SA, biometrics, medicals and additional document requests all without providing the CSQ.

I think it would be a lie to say that the MIFI delay will not impact the 12 months period. Also the 12 months period is not a rule. Some people get their PR in 4 months, others in 2 years.
