Hi everyone,

My husband and I got married inside Canada but we live in different provinces. He lives in Montreal and he is on a close work visa which means he is unable to change an employer at the moment. I am a teacher in Ontario, recently became permanent staff and reconsidering my work location isn't ideal for the time being. However my spouse will be having more opportunities and options in Ontario. I want to sponsor him but I keep hearing about mutual address and bank accounts. We can prove mutual bank accounts but a mutual address? Is proof of same address crucial for our situation if we can prove that for anything else (besides the address), we truly want to reunite and finally start our marriage life together? Thank you for your time!

You need to sponsor him through the outland process. Inland is not possible since you are not cohabitating.

Answered in other thread. Minor etiquette thing: post once and wait a bit.

Hi there,
I was adviced to post here because it would more likely get attention. Perhaps I should remove my first post. I'm sorry about that!
Relax, no big deal. It was me who suggested you post in the family sponsorship forum. Then you posted twice here. It's not a big deal - just a minor etiquette thing.

Do it this way and we end up with two conversations about the same thing, which is mildly annoying.

Oh yes, it was you! I'm sorry, I didn't check the username How can I delete my original post? It seems difficult to remove it from my phone. Should I use my laptop instead?

i would suggest to not "hear" anyone, just follow the checklist and see which evidence can be provided in your case
since you're not living together, communication evidence might be required and apply as outland only (living in Canada - Family Class)

This is a good point: so far the only internet site/forum I've found with reliable information (mostly) is this one. (Not saying there aren't other places - I've just not seen them)

And about 90% of the cases where people come here with "I've heard this" (and the where is never answered), the info they've 'heard' is either complete fabrication or wrong in some important way. My guess is the oral information people here from friends and acquaintances is the most incorrect though.
