Hi, I have a police report from Egypt that I need to get a Canadian certified translation for (Arabic to English). I am overseas, is there a business that you would recommend that does not cost a lot and can be done rather quickly?

It is one page, double sided. The "certified translation" companies over here in Malaysia, where I currently am located, are RM400 ($126.68 CAD). However, I don't know if this certified translation counts, or if it needs to be Canadian certified translation, aka. one done by a Canadian company?

It doesn’t have to be Canadian company. But check your country specific requirements if they mentioned about certain translations. For me official documents must’ve been translated by notary office.

"For me official documents must’ve been translated by notary office."

Same here - from what I can tell it means Notary signing somewhere on the translation? Also, as far as I know I can't receive the translation in PDF and print manually, it would need to be the original copy?

Again it depends on your country specific requirements. They specified for me some documents that must have been submitted original version. If they didn’t mention that it has to be original, then you should submit a copy of it, even if it was notarized translation. CIC will let you know when to submit original documents. But don’t forget to make copies of all documents you’re submitting, because you never know when you will need them.
Yes, notary will sign and stamp everything for you.
