Unfortunately this won't work.

You need to continue to live primarily in Canada until her application is approved. A short trip outside of Canada (2-3 weeks) is fine.

I don't understand this sentence. If you are a PR and you are sponsoring your spouse, you must be residing in Canada throughout application processing. Failing to do so can cause problems for the application.

If you go for a short visit you can send in a webform updating your file with proof of spending time together in person.

How long are you visiting in December? Showing more time in person is especially important if you have minimal relationship history especially in person. When did you get married?

This is too long a visit and will put the sponsorship application in jeopardy of being refused.

As already indicated you should only be visiting for a short period (2-3 weeks) and show that you are established in Canada and can care for your spouse when they get PR.
