Hi,
Just received the filed application back with 6. Country Specific Requirement highlighted.

Anyone can suggest what we missed. We figured its : Supplementary Information – Your travels [IMM 5562] , we did not have that submitted.

But we are so lost in terms of what to fill in 008 the "national identity" , my spouse (principal applicant) is in India so do we put "No" there or we put in the passport number there. She has Adhar card but adhar card cannot be put in the form because it has "no expiry date" and form wont validate if we leave expiry date empty.

I am Canadian citizen, however on the Supporting documents Part B we are not sure if I should be submitting my Birth certificate as well ? Family member means "dependent's/children" or would that include my spouse's parents/brothers/sister etc. ? Or just my spouses birth certificate will suffice ?

"Birth certificate or baptismal certificate of yourself and all your family members"

This application process is so frustrating at time, they do not provide clear explanation of what was missed, so anyone else gone through same phases ?

you have to check what other country specific requirement for you... when youclick the new package application and how to apply, select all the question there, or you can see on you document checklist, there is a question there if you check your country specific requirement, you are missing a document for sure

Even I have got an email that they are sending my application back because of the same reason. I am also looking into the same issue.
They sent you the application back on your Canadian Address or to your spouse in India and how many days after getting the email did you receive the application.

You are lucky you got an email i just received all papers back to my address since i am the sponsor and i submitted.

What forms did you send ? We did not send thr travel form and any dependent forms since we do not have kids. Did not send voter if for my spouse and left nid as blank since adhar card has no expiry i wonder if it was because of missing form or missing documents. I will post all that was sent tomorrow when i am on a pc. Meanwhile if u can share what documents u sent could possibly tally it up and maybe someon who got it all right can chime in.

I put my national identity number in with no expiry date as in South Africa it does not expire. I was able to validate the document with my identity number.

You didn't get any email explaining what forms or documents are missing.

When had you submitted your application?

Provide me with the list of docs that you had sent and accordingly I'll tell you what did u miss.

The supplementary Travel form is the main one missing. Also, check with posters in the NDVO thread whether Indian applicants require military service form, authorisation to disclose information form. Again the brat place to ask this is the NDVO thread.

Hi mrpkiam,

Please put as "NO" for national identity card: Adhar card is not officially declared as a National identity Card.
Unfortunately for india, we have no National ID Card yet.

Thanks/

I cannot post images here for some reason won't allow hylerlinks it says, I could have posted the full letter that we received.

Here are is the list of documents we submitted for my spouse (principle applicant- india)
1. Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]
2.Additional Family Information [IMM 5406]
3. we submitted this as well - For divorces obtained in this country, please submit a complete divorce petition, a judgement and a Final divorce decree.
4. Birth certificate for my spouse only. (not sure if my birth certificate needed to ? I am sending my Citizenship card as my identity proof).

We did not submit the Voter ID card or Adhar Card, nor the SSLC (senior secondary leave certificate - 10th). We also missed the Supplementary Information – Your travels [IMM 5562]

Please provide suggestions what we should make sure gets sent this time around apart from what we sent as mentioned above.

1. We have the SSLC now.
2. Submitting the Supplementary Information – Your travels [IMM 5562] this time around - mostly my travels on it. Do we leave the Dependent section blank or put Not Applicable in the "Given Name Fields" ?
3 . Adhar Card.

Doubts we have are surrounding the voter id, my spouse does not have one, is it mandatory or SSLC will be enough ?

We were thinking of putting Passport as the National Identity Document, shall we just leave that as "no" ?

When they ask for supporting documents - where they mention "all family members" what do they mean by that ? Is it myself and my spouse or we need to include the parents of my spouse as well ?

"all family members" only means those people listed in the application seeking PR status. For spousal sponsorship, this means ONLY the principal applicant and any dependant children of the applicant who are not canadian citizens.

You as the sponsor do NOT fill out ANY applicant forms, so i don't know why you are filling out IMM5562? My assumption is this is an applicant form, so the principal applicant needs to fill this out. IRCC only cares about the applicant's travel history. for application purposes, you are the sponsor only, you are not a spouse that needs to fill out forms as you are not seeking PR status.

these forms are generic for all streams of communication and the "spouse" being referred to is for other immigration streams, not spousal sponsosrhip.

You may have better luck getting answers about your India specific questions in the new dehli thread.

Thanks, were confused about "all family" the first time around too and this time we are hoping we got it all covered. IMM5562 is being filled by my spouse, however it mentions there item b). Spouse traveling history too.

I provided with my travel details on it, but probably that is an overkill and I am hoping it does not come back to haunt us later. In terms of supporting documents, it makes sense now that "all family" they are looking for the principle applicants details - like travel, visa stamps on the passport etc. etc. The supporting documents section was not highlighted so we are hoping it was the IMM5562 and the SSLC as well, that we missed as being the reason for rejection of the application.

We are reading those threads too so let's hope we are on the right track this time around. Appreciated the inputs and feedback's here, will check the other thread and ask if Voter ID is required/a must or 10th certificate will suffice.

again, the "spouse" being referred to in the application is when the "spouse" is not canadian, and is also seeking PR approval or a "spouse" that is not accompanying the applicant applying for PR. as already mentioned - the term "spouse" for application purposes is NOT relavant to spousal applications. you are the SPONSOR - you are not the "spouse" for application purposes, so there is no need for you to tell IRCC about your travel history.

It may not be an issue if the application was already accepted, however since the application was sent back, you are best to remove any information on applicant forms that mentions the "sponsor" as the "spouse", and submit a fresh copy with ONLY the principal applicant's information.

you will also want to make sure none of the forms have been updated recently. there was a post yesterday that one of the applicaiton forms has a new version. if you submit old versions of forms, even if they look the same, you are risking having your application sent back again.

hey mrpkiam,

I am also in stage of filling forms as I got married in February. I am a PR and my wife is in India. She dont have birth certificate I am giving a notarize copy 10th standard marks card, so will it work? I am also giving the aadhar card as a NID? what shall I give in NID? I will message you my checklist and please tell me if i missed anything?

Hello,
There is a form for all family members. Your spouse living outside of canada must include all their immediate family members there .that is mother, father, brothers and sisters. They require that for background checks. You do not include them in the form which asks for dependents but you must include them on the additional family information form.
