Hi All,

I am a permanent resident of Canada and I have below concerns. Please help me with your suggestions

I work for an Indian IT company and has been deputed in Canada. I recently got married and I am wondering how to call my wife to Canada from India asap.
I have already prepared application for filling her PR but that will definitely take a long time.
The other option in my mind is to ask my company to raise dependent visa for my wife.

Can anybody please advice that is a PR person eligible for raising dependent visa forspouse?

If yes then when shall I raise that
before applying for PR or after?

Please let me know any other option with which I can get her here with me asap.

There is no dependent visa in your situation.

If you want your wife to travel to Canada before she is approved for PR, she will need to apply for a TRV.

She can apply for the TRV any time.

The only problem here is.. we are living apart from very long but now we want to live together and can't wait for more 12 months

I assume you have returned to Canada now. If so, I would recommend that you submit an application to sponsor her for PR outland as soon as possible. Since there is no guarantee the TRV application will be approved, you want to get the spousal sponsorship application in as soon as you can. At the same time, she can apply for a TRV and hope that she gets approved so that she can visit you in Canada before PR is approved.

Agree with @scylla. Also, you need not wait for another 12 months, maybe COVID and the restrictions eases out and the situation improves, but that will mean you'll have to wait and see

Not getting a TRV for a spouse of a PR has very little to do with covid. Not being able to visit India for a short vacation will be more difficult due to covid.

After applying for her PR, if somehow she doesn't get TRV, will I be eligible to visit her in India or sponsor is not allowed until and unless application has a decision.

You can certainly go for short visits, but PRs must be residents in Canada throughout the process. Best to keep trips out of Canada below, say, a month.
