I'm currently in progress with my employer on a job opportunity in our Vancouver office. I'm interested in what it would take for my fiancé to get an open work permit.

I know if we get married in the US it will probably be a lot easier for her to get an OWP than if we moved there not married.

Can she apply at the same time as me or will she have to wait until we are there and send my info in with hers to get the OWP?
About how long does this process take? If we were to land April 1st when could we expect all of her paperwork to go through and her start working?
Should I be looking at getting an immigration lawyer to help with everything?

Thanks

It sounds like you're American (i.e. not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident). If that's the case, you should post your question to the Foreign Workers section of this forum:

You'll get better replies there. This section of the forum is for Canadians who are sponsoring their spouses.
