Spousal OWP after student permit

Hi!

I'm currently here on a SP until April 31st. I put my spousal sponsorship plus OWP application in last week. As I have about a 4 month wait between now and getting my OWP what happens to my status in between that time? Am I on implied status? If so can I work until the OWP is officially granted?

You're still on Student status until April 31st, after that when your OWP in process, your status is implied . You may not allow to work until the OWP is officially granted.
