Spousal Open Work Permit

I applied for Spousal open work permit on 2 June 2020 from India, and today is 20th January 2021 but still there is no update in my application. Our processing time for the application is also over. And also submitted the web form but still no update.
Can anyone guide us that how much time it will take????

Hello,

As it stands, the only advise is for you to request for your spouse's GCMS Notes to understand what (current) activities has been going on and if there has been any concerns from the part of the VO.

Dear I too applied my sowp in March but still their no update...when applied for webform. Still they are telling us ur application is under process.

I’ve filed my SOWP application on 02 Aug 2021 and completed biometrics on 27 September. I haven’t received any request for medical until today, Can we do upfront medical for SOWP? Or should I need to wait for the request letter?

You should raise a webform to your IRCC visa center and write your question to them

Your choice, either wait as the request will come in the last stage of the application by IRCC or u can do upfront & upload using webform...will make a difference of week or two

I would suggest sending a webform to inform you about travel exemption- under an immediate family member clause.

Hi All - my wife's SOWP was submitted on April 15th 2021 and biometrics was submitted on 21st April 2021.
Still waiting for the result and looks like in the IRCC site it is showing 34 weeks, which roughly be around Dec 15th 2021... will it take this much time or can get early?

We are newly married and she has now getting panic attacks as well.
Any suggestion please.
