SPOUSAL OPEN WORK PERMIT

Hello All,

Does anybody have any idea why the processing of work permits in Ontario keeps getting delayed every week. Its come to 93 days of processing times.
Since the spousal open work permit falls under the work permit (same employer) category (as told by CIC on phone).
Guess I made a mistake of sending it by post.

Also is there anyway to find out or confirm about the application received?

1. They are processed in Vegreville.
2. Busy with study permit extensions and staff reductions in latest round of budget cuts.

Hello to everybody...

Does anyone know how long does the spousal open work permit is processed here in the Philippines?
And how will I know or be assured that my papers or documents are with the Canadian embassy in Manila?
Shared information and/or details will be highly appreciated. Thank you so much.

My timeline is:
July 13, 2012 - pick up date of application
July 31, 2012 - medical request received
August 13, 2012 - medical exam done
September 10, 2012 - medical papers sent to CEM
Present... - still waiting for news or info from the embassy

Hi there! Just wonder if you have received your spousal OWP? I thought the processing time should be under WP (new employer).
