Spousal Open work permit Timeline 2023-2024

Hi Everyone, Looking for a rough timeline for people who submitted their Spousal open work permit from India , specifically between Oct- Dec , I submitted my wife's file in November Mid, still nothing its been more than 2 months , was expecting max 2 months , but doesn't seem like it after the rift between both the countries , Hoping for the best,if anyone else has received there Permits within this timeframe please do respond, looking for some hope.

Yes upfront medicals done in October , but I can't see update on any of the sections., Doesn't even show anything regarding medical as well.

Looks like a bunch of these work permit applicants applied in the fall. Hopefully the process won’t take too long!

I applied for Spousal Open work permit on 16 Dec 2023 and medical update on 24 April 2024. Medical completed upfront.
If anyone has idea about how long it will take after the medical update please let me know.

Where did you apply from? Status of spouse in Canada and date of permit’s expiry.

So processing is at around 20-22 weeks for most processing. You have some time and hopefully you will get a response soon.

Hello,
I have submitted for my sowp in December 30 2023, my husband is on PGWP expiring on September 2025. I got my biometric approval in 4th Jan and medicals approved in January 19th 2024.

After which my timeline saying, they are verifying my bckgrd and will send message if anything's required.

Can someone please tell me how long will this take? I have been following all your discussion..
