CIC is still stuck with December.

I applied for my husband -spouse work permit on January 16, 2017.
Today, he got a passport request.
I do nt understand why they need passport as he already has Canada visitor visa?
Is this happens with others also? They need passport for spouse work permit ?

Yes, he will be issued a work permit visa. He had the temporary resident visa before. Congrats ! Btw, did you apply with upfront medical? Can you let us know which country your husband applied from?

received medical request on Mar 1,
got approval on Mar 23

He is in USA so he does not need Medical.
