SPOUSAL OPEN WORK PERMIT OUTSIDE CANADA

I filed my application under CEC got AOR in August 2013. I got my BOWP in Septmeber 2013 valid for 1 year.
I am getting married soon and adding my spouse under CEC application.
What are my options to bring her to canada ?
My job is under NOC B and working fulltime permanent.
Do she is elligible for open workpermit or not? or can she apply for open workpermit outside canada?

or i have to apply visit visa for her to bring her ?

Please help.

you can apply owp for her by paper application or online thrue my cic check eligibility in cic.gc.ca and apply

You mentioned that you just got your lmo and applying for your wp. Did you submit your application together with your wife's application for OWP even of she's outside Canada? I have somewhat similar case like yours. I am currently waiting for my new LMO with skilled category. When I am going to apply for new wp can I apply at the same time for my wife OWP even if she is in the middle east rught now?

Can my wife apply for SOWP . Since Iam the main applicant & still havent entered i canada.
Or its much better that i enter in canada first & thenshe can apply to be a positive sowp.

Go to online CIC.GC.ca check elligblity create account with my CIC account than you get what document you need and also able to apply online with payment by visa card for application fees

I am not sure which country you are in. But, you can get your wife on TRV in Canada and then apply for her SOWP from within Canada.
Current processing time for online application is 34 days.

Hey Samir --- Please, us know how this goes...

For the rest on this thread & Samir --- I did exactly the same as Samir except that we applied for visitor visa for my wife --- I got a new WP but my wife's application was refused after being sent to the wrong visa office and waiting for 6months... So far in my experience, the online application system is great for applications sent from within Canada , however is a FAIL for dual applications and especially when one of the applicants' is outside Canada...

My suggestion for the folks wanting to apply for the spouse's visitor or OWP --- do so from their home country visa office (in India sent through VFS)....

I will be sending my spouse's OWP application sometime soon after 2 visitor visa refusal... still researching... this time i want to get it right... in the mean time i will be applying for PR under CEC and include her... But that might not add any weight to a TEMPORARY RESIDENT (visitor/OWP) application... They (CIC) wants to see strong home ties (good job, bank balance/history, property, family ties, letters from rich parents/uncles/in-laws) for your spouses and a strong SOP which would convince them (CIC) that your spouse will leave Canada after the expiry of their visa...
