Spousal Inland Application sent to London?

Hi everyone,

First time poster....long time lurker....I usually post over on British Expats but I am extending my reach here to see if anyone has had a similar experience to mine? My wife and I had submitted our INLAND application to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (the correct one for INLAND applications) but upon receiving my sponsorship approval, was told that her case had been forwarded to London for processing? I initially thought this was normal as Mississauga could send your application package to any office for processing, but a member over at British Expats tells me this in turn makes her application Outland? I am confused because I was in the process of extending her work Visa since we had applied as Inland, but now am unsure if I should extend her as visitor status or finish submitting her work visa extension? Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Occasionally, IRCC mixes up inland and outland. Did you apply with the old app or new app?

I applied with the old application. I'm just worried now if we can't extend her work permit or what should I be doing moving forward?

Are you 100% certain that you submitted an inland application?
