Basically the med extension are being given even now, and they base on three thing:

1. You travel History

Before you arrive in Canada

1.Get and bring to Canada all official documents belonging to you and the family members who are immigrating with you.

Common documents include:
•birth certificate or baptismal certificates
•passport
•marriage, separation or divorce papers
•adoption records for adopted children
•death certificate for a deceased spouse
•school records, educational diplomas and certificates, including transcripts listing the courses you took to obtain a degree or certificate
•medical records (prescriptions, test results, x-rays, allergies, etc.) and dental records
•letters of reference from former employers
•car registration documents (if you are importing a motor vehicle into Canada)
•photocopies of all essential and important documents in case the originals get lost (be sure to keep the photocopies in a separate place from the originals)

If you have family members that will be immigrating at a later date, you should also bring copies of their documents with you.

You may not need these documents immediately, but it is better to bring all your official documents in case they are needed in the future. It is often much more difficult to obtain these documents after you have left your country of origin.

Learn about credential assessment in Canada

You will need to have the education, work experience or professional credentials you received outside Canada assessed

if you are:

  • -Coming to Canada and planning to Work
-Coming to Canada and planning to study further
-coming to Canada to work in specific professions or trade

see whether your credentials are equal to the standards set for Canadian workers
find out whether you need more training, education or Canadian work experience
understand the types of jobs for which you might be qualified
help employers understand your qualifications
You can start the credential assessment and recognition process before you arrive in Canada. This takes time and costs money.

I have a few questions: What is HEC? As you know many Doctors come to Canada from Pakistan and the are highly qualified but they will not be allowed to practice medicine.

I know through University programs in Canada one needs and Assessment by University so I really don't think this HEC will be accepted in Canada. Let me know what it is and I will check in Canada.

Another thing when you land and go to Enter Canada there is a Gate where New Immigrants must enter no one meets you. You must pass through Customs before anything and they will guide you and say go through the gate where it says Immigration. Number 1 thing is do not take things in open containers like oils loose spices as you set yourself up for High searches make your trip easy not all these hassles as I have seen many go through.

May Allah make it easy for all of you In Sha Allah............

HEC IS higher education commision ,,its govt authority and if they verify our degrees then those degrees are acceptable worldwide

for doctor,,they have to give board exams

I do not agree about getting Assessments done in Pakistan. There are too many FRAUD places. Its better to get it Canada. When they want assessments the place that is hiring will pay this themselves so don't put added cost on yourself In Sha Allah

its not about someone's agreeing or not agreeing....its something which is required and important for work and for further education
