hey there guys .. need some info ...

I know someone will tell me to check this forum or the confusing CIC website for the answer and I have done that but cannot find one for my specific situation.

Hope that this is faster.

I was born in Canada.
My wife is Pakistani.
We Married in Pakistan 2010.
I am living and working in pakistan since 2008.
My kid was born in the Pakistan 2011.
I have applied and already received the Certificate of Canadian Citizenship for my Son.
My wife has already done the upfront medical.

i would like to know if i can sponsor my wife while still living in Pakistan even though i intend to move back to canada next year as my family has purchased a house so we will be living as a joint family.

also since moving to pakistan the last time i had done my taxes was in 2008 since then i have been working in pakistan and have not filed my taxes as im not working in canada anymore for now ... would this be a problem for my sponsorship application ?

can i submit my wifes application along with my son's passport application together ?

hope to get some replies soon.

Yes, you can sponsor your wife while living outside of Canada. In the application, you will need to provide proof that you plan to move to Canada and live there once her PR visa is approved.

No - you cannot submit your wife's sponsorship application together with your son's citizenship application. They are two completely separate applications.

Dear scylla

thanks for the reply ... in response to your second comment :

"No - you cannot submit your wife's sponsorship application together with your son's citizenship application. They are two completely separate applications."

what i meant was along with sending my wife's application for immigration in the mean time i can also send an application form for my son's passport as i know both are different but i meant that i can send them both in just seperately ...

No, it's not a problem that you haven't filed taxes in Canada, as you haven't been living here.

Yes, you can stay in Pakistan while the app processes. You will have to submit proof of your intention to return to Canada.

Did you sever all ties to Canada when u lived in Pakistan. What I mean is did u give up your provincial health care, bank accounts etc.? Anyway, tax wise you should figure out if you are categorized as a deemed resident, factual resident or non resident.

When you apply write a detailed plan i.e. 2-3 pager how you will re-settle in Canada
