1. No appointment required just visit the VAC of your city with requested docs...
2. No attestation just file number and applicant name....
3. Nothing else at this point except requested docs but you will require copy of receipt n nic to collect your passport later....

I have few quesions if someone can please answer:

1- Do we need vac appointment to go and submit passport for visa.
2- Doesnt the visa pictures need to be attestated.. I understand it needs to have the applicant name and file number on it but do the pics need to be attested as well?
3- Other than ( Appendix form, Pics, Passport, and PPR2... Does the applicant need to bring anything else to the VAC office)???

SONS Canadian Passport: OUr son has received his Canadian Citizenship certificate. Now we have to apply for Passport. When called the consulate in Karachi, the lady said that we will need to buy tickets in advance for the first passport application. But strange enough, when called the Lahore consulate, the gentleman that answered said that since your son has prove of citizenship, you dont need to buy the ticket in advance? Confused so PLEASE SOME ONE THAT HAS WENT THROUGH THE PROCESS PLZ HELP. ALSO......

1- Application requires both parents ID. How do I go about my id's from Canada???? Can I give my PAK ID's attested copy along application ????? OR ????

Alhumdulilah, ;D My wife finally got the passport request today. E-CAS showed DM on Nov 14, 2014. Got the passport request after about 3 months.

I just visited the cic website and it shows that LVO office has increased their processing time from 11 months to 29 months. So sad. No idea how it will affect the existing and new cases.

yes it will apply from now on , but its not a said and done thing, this 29 month timeline is loosely based on the previous 6 month data, so you can always hope for the best, just think 12-15 months , which is same as previous time, LVO most probably finalize the files in 15 months , so dont worry, 29 months is just a scare.
