Hi sh52

Our file was directly transferred at LVO on 25-April-2014 and after that we are waiting for their feedback. We didn't do upfront medical so we are expecting for medical request from CIC. God knows - Pls pray for us infect for all forum members..!

By the way do you have any idea that how much time will take place in order to get their any feedback since our file was transferred at LVO directly on 25-April-2014? :(

By the way I wish you all the best as well :) Tnx

Please inbox responses please.

As some of you may or may not know. I received the rukhsati letter from lvo last month
on the 19th. I am currently in Pakistan and did send about 200 photos as well as additional proof within their 30
day deadline. Me and my husband both emailed them and received no response.
My online status has not changed.

How long does it take from here approx? Im leaving Pakistan on the 8th.

If anyone can answer my question. Please kindly inbox me. I hope it doesnt take toooo long
now. :(

He can either go to VAC or send directly to Islamabad High Commission at the address mentioned in his attachment through TCS. If he'll submit through VAC he'll get his passport through VAC otherwise TCS will call him and deliver at home with Cash on Delivery.

The Government of Canada is planning to welcome between 260,000 and 285,000 new permanent residents in 2015, an increase of approximately 19,000 planned admissions over last year. The Family Class category will account for almost 25 percent of new immigrants to Canada in 2015.

The 2015 levels plan reaffirms the Government of Canada’s commitment to bringing families together, by maintaining a high level of admissions space under the Family Class category. Reuniting immediate family members continues to be Canada’s first priority under the Family Class immigration stream, and with this year’s plan, Canada will welcome up to 68,000 new permanent residents in this category. By prioritizing applications from spouses, partners and dependent children, Canada continues to have the most generous family reunification program in the developed world.

But would this reduce the backlog for sponsorship for people from Pakistan from 33 months to a reasonable time period

2015 immigration level plan is purposed to welcome 68000 new permanent resident in family class category.
In 2014 the target immigration level plan for this category was the same 68000.
In 2013 it was also the same.

Note: family class category included spousal cases inland, spousal sponsorship cases Outland and grandparent/parent cases.
Approx quota for spousal cases is 48000 which includes both Outland and inland.
Now subtract the inland cases from 48000.
How much left for Outland sponsorships?
Again logically the remaining quota is distributed among different countries...

Hope it gives an understanding about the immigration level plans and why it takes 33 months for Islamabad, 11 months for London and 6 months for usa applicants.

Dear All,

I shall be landing for first time in Canada this July. I am planning to get married in Pakistan after getting PR card. I have a few questions, i would really appreciate your answers.
1- How long is the expected time to sponsor your spouse?
2- Will the nikah serve the purpose of sponsorship or rukhsati will also be required?
3- I need to go back to Canada to sponsor her, will it be possible for me to come back to Pakistan after filing the sponsorship case(for lets say 6 months or for one year) or do I have to stay in Canada till the process is complete.
4- What documents are required to show as proof of marriage.
5- Any other thing that i should take care of?

Any suggestions are welcome on how to make this process quick and smooth.
