My husband Is Afghan Canadian and i am pakistani, We got married in pakistani ,but how can he get pakistani Nic. He livel all his life in canada and he dont have mother and father, or any of their document, we are in very difficult situation, pls help? Can he get pakistani nationality or nic ?

My understanding of Pakistan Law is you must live there 5 years before you can get a card. I maybe wrong but check their website to find out for sure.

He is willing to do that , de dont have his father Id what shall he write in nikah nama, and do u have a link what say that he can stay for 5 years and get nic card.

This Question is for my sister in law.

You said he is a UK national. But he is Afghan. So it's best for him to go dig up their family history/information from the UK authorities where they keep old records and information. His parents must have at some point, migrated to UK, even as refugees, etc so there must be some information. It can't be that they did not have date of births, they must have given some dates to UK govt even if those were approximate and not exact.
So he has to do some homework in the UK itself first of all, and obtain all the necessary info.

As far as Pakistan is concerned, he has to follow the guidelines of Pakistani nationality laws, whether he likes it or not. 5 years at least is what I have heard too, and the cases also take time, multiple agencies are involved, if you're in Pakistan, then please contact DGIP Office locally and go inquire from them. He can't just get it by living outside of Pakistan.

On the other hand, he can sponsor your sister-in-law and let her go to UK instead and settle there. If he wants to visit Pakistan, he can obtain visitor visas from nearest Pakistani consular post.

I don't think so your husband has to live in Pakistan to get NIC card. My bhabhi is British and her mom dad are Irish, but she got the card in a month when they visited Pakistan. call NADRA and find out but that's what I know from our personal experience.
