Salam all,

Does anyone know what the PPR process is from London if the spouse is already in Canada on a visit visa? Would it be possible to send the passport to London directly from here and have the PR visa stamped on it?


Any suggestion or advice would be greatly appreciated!

You just inform CIC Islamabad and then they will send you some documents then you would suppose to contact CIC Ottawa and they will either conduct the interview in Canada or they will ask to go to border of america and you will get some documents from there and after then the passport will be collected n stampted inside Canada.your spouse really don't need to leave Canada and you also can't send passport by mail as its not allowed.I am also a visitor and I already ask immigration about all this procedure.

My mp and immigration lawyer said that it takes 11 months from London. But not entirely sure on how accurate that information is.

11 Months still sounds better, My MP yesterday was like .. it'll be a little faster than islamabad (32 month) but still not 11 months. :/ ... Also we were requested for additional documents in April , but no news since then... anyone else going thorugh the same situation ?

When did your file get sent to London?

If it is 11 months then all the Jan and Feb 2014 file transfers must be completed by December 2014. They will have to be extremely fast to do that

for me it took total 6 months from Islamabad and I got my visa.

Agreed!! Lets hope its accurate. but if its not, then they need to update their system!

I want to know after sending request for GCMS notes there is only one e-mail like receipt of payment type which the requester get?
Or the e-mail which contains the request number is separate from that?

Did you read that email ?
You only get 1 email that has your receipt and if you read that email properly you will find your request number as well.

I don't see any benefit to the immigrant applicant. I would like to know why are you asking this question?
I mean what have you heard?
