Hi all,
I am Canadian Citizen. I am sponsoring my wife who has son with previous relationship. He is a Canadian Citizen. Should I include his information in the dependent children section? The guide clearly says that Canadians can't be sponsored. where all should I mention about him and what kind of information need to be provided with the application?

The child is only added to the additional family members form. Not included in IMM0008 as a dependent.

I think this answers my query too - my wife is Canadian, our son has had his Canadian citizenship confirmed and got the certificate (he's now dual national British-Canadian) and I am British.

So my wife is sponsoring me: We started by including my son in our Family-Spouse sponsorship forms.. but then the questions just didn't make sense!

So we removed him (after trying to find confirmation that this is the right course of action) and he now only appears in the 'family members' form, not on the 0008 form. Is this correct?

Is it me, or are the CIC guidance notes on this not very clear at all?

Can someone confirm that I've done this correctly?

Also - what happens when we move (if our application is accepted)? Do my wife and son more-or-less 'walk into Canada' and I get a PR application form to fill out, which pretty soon allows me to properly live and work in Canada?
