Dear All,
Please could some help by providing the details on how the sponsorship under the Family Class regulations works.

How do I bring members of my family to Canada?
When can I start the process?
How long does the process take?
What will it involve?

Thank you very much
kind regards,

Which family members are you asking about? Spouse? Minor children? Parents? Others?

I assume you are asking about adult siblings.

Siblings can only be sponsored in very limited circumstances. To sponsor a sibling, you must meet all of the requirements below:

- You are unmarried / not in a common law relationship
- You have no children
- Both of your parents are deceased
- You have no other family in Canada

If you meet ALL of the above requirements, then you can sponsor one adult sibling.

You were already advised under what parameters you could possibly sponsor a sibling

In general, siblings are not consider immediate family under IRCC.

So you can only sponsor 1 sibling under some special condition which is nicknamed lonely Canadian. Others have posted the information.

IRCC consider your spouse/common law partner and your children as your immediate family members and you need to include them in your PR application (accompanying or not). After you become a PR, you can sponsor them.

Parents and grandparents are under a different immigration program and there are different requirements to sponsor them.
