Sponsorship - submit passport to London (UK)

So I got the email asking me to submit my passport/photos etc to the VACs (London UK).

Does anyone have any idea roughly how long this process takes?

I tried contacting them but get no response and need to make various trips and want to avoid messing up any trips because it it being processed/in transit.
