Hi All,
My wife's PR file is in progress - status is below:

AOR - May 15
Request for additional docs - May 31
BIL - June 6
Sponsor and PA Eligibility Complete - June 12
BIL Completed at VFS - June 14
MEI - June 17
MEI Completed at Designated Hospital - July 01
Requested doc submitted via Webform - June 28
Submitted document added to PR file (received email) - July 23

GC key application tracker is lagging behind and does not show exact progress.
Eligibility Complete on June 12.
Biometrics and Background Verification - In progress
Medical Exam - Not Started

Questions:
At what stage can my wife travel to Canada - after receiving CoPR?
What is issued through Passport Request - Do we get visa? If so, whats the duration/validity of this visa - Few Months or Years?

Thank you.

If she has eTA or visitor visa, she can travel to Canada any time. If she doesn't, then she need her passport stamp and travel with the COPR after PPR.
COPR/visa valid usually 1 year from Medical (not sure if exam or pass date)

Usually you will get the COPR only after submitting the passport through passport request. You'll get that with a visa if needed. expiry of that visa is usually one year after the medical exam. Single entry.
