Dear Seniors,

My wife is a Canadian citizen and she has been out of Canada for around 4 years, I'm planning to have her go to Canada with the kids and try sponsoring me from there, the sponsoring application is for me only as all of our kids are Canadians by birth, my question is the following;

Will she be able to sponsor me if she has no income (as I'm the one supporting her and the kids financially)?

We are planning to make the move there however as I mentioned, I'm the only one in the family without the citizenship status, thanks for your valuable feedback in advance.

Why have her move to Canada, then sponsor you? She can sponsor you right now as an outland spousal sponsorship.

Make sure that both your wife and kids have Canadian passports as well.

Her 'not earning' is not an issue for spousal sponsorship.

Canadian citizen not residing in Canada, may sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner and/or dependent children who have no dependent children of their own. You must demonstrate that you will live in Canada once they become a permanent resident.

Spouse sponsorship doesn't require income.
