just one question:
You said
""Marriage is only for those people who truly love each other and not for those who would just like to try to work out a relationship.""

then why is the divorce rate about 60% in North America ? ???

Not sure, but everyone I know who is divorced got that way because their spouse was abusive and/or cheated on them. That includes myself.

Yeah I don't like her anymore for what she did to me. I had plans for the both of us and my business (online). I looked fwd to going there but it all came crashing down. These last few days I can't even sleep or eat at all.

Rob_To - I never did want to get married, I did it cause she didn't want to come to my country so I figured the only way was as she said it to come to Canada.

I am so tired I can't even sleep. I hope this blows over. And to think of the 1300+ pictures we had. It just kills me. It could of been worse you guys are right!

Luckyman - Yeah she is looking into annulled. I just don't want to fly back to Canada to sign anything and waste $1k as someone else said wait a year and it's done anyways.

Butyak01 - yeah I had found a cheap place to live in GTA area for like $600 a month rent. Was in these mags I got while I was there. I was thinking "man oh man what kind of a job can I get for $10 an hour?" Thinking of slaving 9 to 5! I was even thinking of going to Alberta, since it's great out there for jobs. But expensive also.

Doljan - I was paying for everything as in consultant and fees. Yeah she was helping in the starting, giving me what is required I was waiting on the FBI records for the last 30 days already so it was a pause. Imagine the person you love and did so much with, and spend countless hours each day talking on the phone, online, cam, skype, emails then one day. You find out it's all fake. I still can't sleep, and it's been days and I am so tired. Thank god she is willing to file for it and do the paper work on her end.

as a consolation, just be thankful you found out her motives early...

it could have been worst... and move on with your life.. there are a lot of things for you to be thankful...

:)

Yes I agree. At first it's going to be a shock for the first week or 2.

$600.00 a month in GTA ?

I can assure you, rents are a lot more for half decent apartments. IT was probably a 'dive' :o

As I was told repeatedly when my husband left after ten weeks of marriage: Be glad there's no kids involved!

Count your blessings and move on with life. She can go find someone else to vampire and you can be a little wiser for next time.

PS: I only date/marry employed people from now on. No ifs, ands, or buts! If you're living at mom, leeching off of a parent NTY!

True she did have a job when I left for a good 6 to 7 weeks and quit that job cause it was to stressful cause of the boss. Show me a job that's not? She has a seasonal job and has 2 jobs right now. But it's fine. I always wanted kids in my life at least 5 of them. Will take some time. Done eating chocolate! ;)

For now just listening to music. And working on my business project.

In my darkest days, I couldnt leave my bedroom. I pushed myself to learn another language (spanish) /best to keep busy ! Listening to music is great, however, why listen to 'sad songs' ? You need to listen to happy songs and dance and when your finsihed dance some more !

If it wasnt for my 2 beautiful cats, I dont know what I would have done.

This was my song and continues to be:

Seeing everyone happy is not what I need to see, I am using sad songs, then memory songs when I was a kid then motivation songs. But the next days no matter what I listen too I'll be broken still lol.

You are much better off without her. If she is unwilling to work then she isn't worth the effort. She is looking for a free ride and on a guy that can only bring in $20000/year she will only make you responsible for her debt.
$600/month rent in Toronto will get you a 1 bedroom basement apartment in the sh*ttiest parts of the city if it can get you anything at all.

Just when i thought that song couldn't get any better! ??? .. at least they dropped that pesky 10/8 bar.

I still fail to see the "scam" in all of this. As for expenses, you do realize as a couple your incomes are family income and expenses are family expenses? Did you think you get to pocket all your money? You wanted 5 kids? You know you would have to give her money to pay for clothes, food, etc? I have heard of a lot of really ingenious scams, but none that make you (the scammer) financially responsible for your victim for 3 years!

As for the marriage fraud article:

Earlier this year, the immigration department introduced a new regulation to make it easier for visa officers to deny a spousal sponsorship.
And as early as this fall, authorities will be able to reject an application if they believe the marriage is based on bad faith or is entered with the purpose of gaining immigration status.

That is just WRONG! Any attempt to deal with marriage fraud has to occur after landing. You can't do it before. Tell me all of you, if CIC told you your partner was scamming you would you be thankful and call things off? Of course not! All those new rules do is make it harder for EVERYONE to get their spouses here in a timely manner.

I would say that since you are sponsoring your spouse, if that person ceases to be your spouse you can send them back. Which is similar to the new legislation brought in anyway. But the main point is they need to pursue and prosecute scammers, and the scams normally will not become known until they arrive here. It is a lot easier to keep up appearances in email, chat, phone, skype, and on short trips than when living 24/7 with someone.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. Remember the article about the lady who was duped by a Cuban a few weeks ago. Their visa was processed in a timely manner, he came to Canada and then took off right away. Lucky her! It saved her years of heartbreak in appeals. At least now she knows.
