Hey everyone hope all is well. It seems this site is the only way to get any helpful information these days. My wife and I are currently almost ready to send the PR package in just a few odds and ends to tie up prior. A couple of questions I have is her biometrics still should be good if they're valid until 2029 from her TRV? We've tried looking them up using her UCI and it comes back with no results but we have a paper issued from the government originally stating they're valid until 2029. The other question is would we send my wifes original birth certificate, translations etc in with the package or just copies of the originals? Thanks in advance :)

If the biometrics document is valid until 2029 you can use it for the PR process.

From your wife's documents, that depends on her country of origin. There are different requirements for these documents. In my case, they do not accept photocopies and the government of Mexico issues official copies of the certificates. We also had to legalize these copies for the process. We send photocopies of translations, but certified copies of documents.

A certified copy in Mexico is on rigid paper, with official government seals, printed at a government office.

Before covid they required all PR applicants to get biometrics. Temporarily while many offices closed they have said they will use previous biometrics. But short form, No-one knows how long this will last and don't waste time worrying about it.

Usually they take copies. But you must check against country specific requirements as for some countires they require originals. If they do not specify, assume copies.
