Hi,
Please help me for "Sponsorship of Dependant daughter living outside Canada"

1. Me, my wife and son got Canada PR in 2012, and we visited Canada for 1 month in 2012.

2. In 2013 we blessed with daughter.

3. Now I am planning to go back to Canada permanently with my family.

4. As we, 3 members are having PR but my daughter has not.

5. Our PR will expire in Aug 2015 , as per rule we have to live 2 years to maintain PR.

6. Three months back I also applied my daughter sponsorship and I also got File number few days back, but it take much time to get result.

Now please advise me know the easy way how my daughter can go to Canada with me till the time she get sponsorship or PR.

Thanks

Mandy

As a PR, you must be residing in Canada in order to sponsor your daughter. If CIC notices you've applied for her sponsorship while not residing in Canada, they could simply cancel the entire application and make you submit again after you return to Canada.

For your daughter to travel to Canada, she must hold a visa-exempt passport OR get a TRV to enter as a visitor. If TRV is refused and she is not visa-exempt, then she will not be able to come to Canada until her PR is approved. Note if TRV is refused and 1 parent returns to Canada to process her PR application while other parent stays with her in home country, it could mean that the parents who stays in home country will be in violation of residency obligation while waiting for her PR to be approved, and could result in parent's PR being revoked. Of course then they could always be sponsored again by the spouse who is already in Canada.

Thanks for valuable input.

Please reply for following also for my clarity:

1. What is major differencisae between TRV and Visitor visa?

2. Can I apply simple visitor visa for my daughter ?

3. How much time normally takes in TRV decision?

4. Please provide TRV application package.

Thanks :)

A TRV is a visitor visa. Processing time (since I don't know which country you're from) varies, from 4 days to 72 days. A month seems to be the general average.

Re: Sponsorship of Dependant daughter living outside(India)

Thanks for a quick and valuable reply.

I understood that I need to apply visitor visa for my daughter and she can stay upto 6 months with us at Canada.

Please help me in this:

1. As me, my wife and son is already have PR for Canada and now I need to apply for TRV for my daughter. Please suggest me along with the TRV application forms which extra documents I need to attach with, which can help me better to get TRV for my daughter like Request letter, my PR cards etc.

2. As per your experience how much chances to approve or rejection for TRV for my daughter?

Please reply

Thanks
