We applied for family sponsorship on june 10 2021 and the last update was medical completed and eligibility is in progress since April 13 2022.Background did not start yet.it has been more than one year.what should we do ? please if can anybody advise me

my wife is the sponsor and she is a Canadian citizen can i inform my Visa office or ircc about her visiting ?? how long she can stay with me ?thank you
