Hello my wife was approved to be my sponsorship .we applied for an open work permit at the same time as my inland permanent residence application . since I was with out status does anyone knows how long it will take to get my open work permit after fisrt stage approval . ? Thank you.

It will be approved after you get AIP.

Your wife's sponsor approval is the stage before your AIP (Approval in principle). That means you meet the criteria to apply for a PR. Once you have that, they will issue the OWP. From what I have seen lately for timing, the AIP is within a couple days of SA.

I tried butbi can find the open work permit application status. Only found for pr application and for sponsorship application . would you help me where can I find it ?

I am not sure where you can find it. My guess is if you set up myCIC and link to your account with your UCI, it may be associated to your UCI.

I meant more about checking online for AIP...

Yeah for some reason I'm not been able to link mycic account with my application it never finds my application . I already contacted cic technical support and they were not helpful at all . in hoping for the best . thank you again

I already received the letter saying i meet the criteria to be a permanent resident of Canada . I just want to know how long usually it takes to get my open work permit . I applied for the owp when I sent my pr application more than a year ago, sorry I wasn't clear to began with.

Then you can call the Call Centre to ask when they will be issuing the OWP. From what I understand, they should have held it until your AIP was completed.
