Hello everyone!
I am doing the sponshorship application, and my boyfriend will be my sponsor (common-law). I would like to know if someone has done that before in the past months? I am a bit confused with the letters family/friends write. Also, I asked my landlord to do one for us, and my lawyer said they do not need to be notarized but I read online that some people did notarized them. Should I or no?

We submitted the application as common-law.
The letters do not need to be notarized according to the regulations.
We did notarize a few letters - from friends, from parents, not from landlord though. While not necessary, a notarized letter adds some weight, rather than a collection of letters that could've been self-written and signed. Because the process of evaluating relationship is subjective we decided to notarize a few, the cost was only $10/each in Toronto, and if this has an effect of removing some doubts and eliminating the time an expense of an interview, then it was definitely worth it.
In the end it's up to you.

Oh great! I am really happy to hear that, I want to notarized them but it is hard to make all the people go to the Notary Public :(. Thanks tho! I will try to notarized them.
Also, once more question, did you apply for the full time work permit at the same time? How long did it take you?

I did not notarize the sponsor s parents letter. Apply for both pr and ope at the same time. Put everything in the same envelope but opw in a smaller envelope and submit them together. Normally it take 4 months to process opw

Oh nice! Did you get approved already?
Could you tell me a general list of the documents you attached to your application? I am scared of missing a paper!

Follow the checklist. It is very specific.
