Hi everyone!

Just wondering if anyone has any details or info on what does it mean that the sponsorship case has been transferred from Vegreville to Case Processing Center in Mississauga.

Anyone is going through the spouse sponsorship process and had the same procedure?

Thanks in advance!

You're applying inland right? I suspect you must've sent your application to Vegreville? That's the old processing office for inland applications. The new office is at CPC-Mississauga (which happens to be where outland applications are processed, although at a different postal code). So they must've transferred your application to CPC-M because Vegreville no longer handles inland applications :).

That's right, I am the spouse being sponsored and living in Canada.
Vegreville has been processing the case since September last year (makes it about half a year now).
Does that mean that there is no real progress on the case and Mississauga will now be in charge? or Vegreville was actually looking into our application and the process was happening, but from now on Mississauga is in charge.

It kind of looked like Vegreville office did their part of the job and now we move on to the next step in Mississauga. I might be wrong.. Just curious on what it actually is.

hello, I have the same case with you that my paper is transferred to Mississauga. just wanted to asked when did you sent your papers? I ready submitted my application last august 2013 under spousal common-law. i'm still on work permit, apparently, my current work permit will expired this month, can somebody help me with my situation? should i stay with my current employer while i'm waiting for my open work permit. I called to cic, and they told me that i'm on implied status even my work permit is expired. they told that i still continue to work while waiting for the decision from cic. but I am Confuse.. if I still allowed to stay or I still need a status while waiting for the decision.

I just received a letter from CIC saying my application for PR-Spousal Sponsorship has been transferred to Mississauga.
I mailed my application to Vagreville last Dec 2013.

Did you find the answer for your question? We are exactly in the same boat.
I didn't send an OWP application when sending my application for sponsorship. I haven't received an AIP yet, which means I am not able to apply for an OWP until getting the AIP.
