I am sure they would look at your application more closely if the inland had problems with it. You would need to find out why they had a problem and correct it before applying outland. They would refund the right of landing fee and not the processing fee I am sure.

You can always withdraw an inland application if your timeline is taking too long and you want to apply outland . . . of if the sponsorship was refused and you needed to reapply from outside because of the inability to remain in Canada. The criteria for being approved is the same, whether inland or outland, so they're not necessarily going to look unfavorably on an application just because you had an inland ap in process and withdrew it - however, if the application was refused for any reason you would have to correct that problem or you'd end up with the same result on an outland ap also.

No, they do not refund either the $475 applicant fee or the $75 sponsorship fee. They would refund the $490 RPRF though.

Thank you guys,

Now I'm confused. I won't receive anything back even if my husband tick the option " to withdraw your sponsorship. All the processing fees
less $75 will be repaid." on the IMM1344EA form?

The right of landing fee is just paid after "decision made" letter (PR granted), right?

Normally you don't get the processing fee back if they have already started processing it. The check box says if sponsor isn't approved but there's a possibility that the sponsor was approved but they found another issue with your application.

The right of landing fee doesn't need to be paid until you get your PR but many people pay it in advance anyway to avoid delays later. If you had already paid that, you would get it back.
