My boyfriend and I, have been living together for over a year, we are starting to do the common law papers for the sponsorship but we just find out that I'm pregnant. He's Canadian( Im student) and we both living in Canada. I'd like to know if I can still apply or being pregnant is a issue?
Thank you :)

Can we still apply tho? They won't denied it because of that?
Why would they? Pregnancy is not an issue, I'm sure others would come along and tell you the same thing, people get pregnant and have kids all the time it's a natural part of life for most families.

Only problem in this case may be the medical exam if you haven't already taken it. Many doctors do not recommend to take chest x-rays while pregnant, so if you decide to delay this until after you deliver the baby your PR app will also be delayed accordingly. But you can still go ahead and apply now to get your app started, you would just submit a deferral of x-ray for medical portion if required.

if you decide to have the x-ray while pregnant, then there should be no impact at all to the PR app.

Would do I need the Xrays even when I'm already in Canada? I took the exams when I process my study permit, but that's over a year.

Medical exams are only valid for a year. So, yes, you'll have to get a full medical exam even though you're in Canada.

Nope shouldn't be an issue. If you give birth while the application is still processing you'll need to update CIC with a dependent child on your application, but nothing changes while you're only pregnant. Congratulations, by the way!

But can I still apply even being pregnant? I was reading the requirements and I didn't understand the part when they say: Information on Conditional Permanent Residence

As of October 25, 2012, CIC introduced amendments to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. The amendments specify that spouses, common-law or conjugal partners who are in a relationship with their sponsor for two years or less and have no children in common with their sponsor at the time of the sponsorship application are subject to a period of conditional permanent residence. The condition requires the sponsored spouse or partner to cohabit in a conjugal relationship with their sponsor for a period of two years after the day on which they became a permanent resident. The conditional measure only applies to permanent residents whose applications are received on October 25, 2012, or after the day that the amendments come into force.

Examples

Condition applies if the couple:

is married for two years or less; or
dated for four years, but is married for two years or less; or
have been in a conjugal relationship for two years or less; or
has cohabited in a common-law relationship for two years or less; and
Do not have any children in common
Condition does not apply if the couple:

is married for more than two years; or
have been in a conjugal relationship for more than two years; or
has cohabited in a common-law relationship for more than two years; or
Have children in common."

Because the last sentence says "have children in common ", does that have any impact on me being pregnant?

Thank youuu so much btw!

The condition which you're referring to, Condition 51, has absolutely nothing to do with applying for PR. Condition 51 means that after you become a PR you need to live with your sponsor in a genuine relationship for 2 years if the condition applies.

Oh okok! I got it now. So one more thing (and I'm sorry for asking to much :) ).. When they said "Condition doesn't apply" what they actually mean?

That means you won't have the condition. If you are married at least 2 years (or common-law) or have children (your child would either need to have been born before you apply or during the process, I'm not sure which) with your sponsor, then you won't have the condition that you will have to live together for 2 years after you land as a PR.

The application would need to be received by CIC prior to AFTER (thanks Rob_TO) the birth of the child, to eliminate Condition 51.

You mean post/after the birth, not prior/before!
