Sponsorship approval with note about medical

I got my sponsorship approval today, and on it, it said:

"An original Upfront Medical Report form (IMM1017B UPFRONT) signed by a Panel Physician or an
E-Medical Up-front Medical Notification information sheet has not been provided. Your relative(s)
must complete the medical and once completed forward this information directly to the visa office
noted above along with a copy of this letter. Your application has been transferred to the visa office
noting this deficiency. Your relative must also forward the medical information directly to the visa
office (CPP OTTAWA) to allow continued processing of his/her application. Failure to do so will
result in delays and possible refusal of your relative's application."

We submitted an outland application Jan. 27th, but no medical as we thought we could do it later (which apparently we can!). So my husband did his medical on Feb. 27th and they said they'd send a copy to our visa office. They only gave us receipts.
Can I just get some help understanding this note - what is the IMM1017B form? What exactly do I need to send? I want to do it ASAP. Should I contact the doctors office asking if they've sent the forms? I should re-send it with a copy of the SA, right?

Also.. does the count as 'medical request'?

Normally you would do the medical up front and file the receipt with the application. The Physician would send the medical results to Ottawa. You would only get the receipt.

In your case, you should send the receipt as proof of medical to Ottawa and they should match it up with the medical result sent by the Physician. If you are worried, you can contact the Dr. to see if the results have been sent but you need to send in the receipt to Ottawa.

Thanks for your reply! Knowing what I do now after finding this forum I would have done the medical up front but my husband convinced me not to, haha. I will send in my receipts, and a copy of my sponsorship approval, asap. I also wanted to send in some extra relationship proof so it's no big deal.

I will also call my Doctor and see if they've sent in the e-medical results. Should i give them a copy of my SA to attach to it? Also - should I fill out this form (IMM1017B) and send it in?

I thought all outland medicals go to Ottawa now. Maybe somebody could confirm that. My experience is becoming too dated and things have changed since we went through it.

Well, that would work for me as my VO is Ottawa, but we didn't specify, they just said they knew where to send it.

Thank you for the info, Ram. They did say they'd upload it online. I will just send CPC-Ottawa the receipts from the medical.

One last question - should I have sent a copy of the receipts to Mississauga as well? As I got my approval March 7th but my ECAS still says 'application in process'. I thought maybe they are waiting to receive the receipts before transferring my file.

Send original to visa office along with letter they sent. It doesnt matter to missisauga now but it also doesnt matter to spend some dollars for sending copy to missisauga

Ah, no it's still 'in process' for the sponsorship approval. It's "application received" for my husbands half.

No - outland. So we aren't together but we see each other every 2 months or so.

Just because the eCas hasn't changed means nothing. If you got the SA letter stating you met the requirements to sponsor your husband and his application was forwarded to Ottawa, then you are indeed on part 2. Just be sure to get those medical receipts forwarded to Ottawa.
