Well as far as the Option C printout goes, as long as you write a letter explaining as to why you were unable to send one in, included paystubs, and letter from employer then I believe you will be alright.

I am not sure if they will request you send one in or not but they may.

On the site it says they have started processing applications up to September 10, 2009 and that it is taking 36 days to process.

I would keep checking this page every once in a while to keep giving you an idea of long it might take to get approval.

It usually takes about one month for them to issue the sponsor approval letter.

I didn't submit Option C with my application but I submitted a letter explaining why and submitted a photocopy of my paystubs for the year which they were fine with. As long as you explained it and gave them proof of your employment income in place of it then you should be fine. If you simply didn't include Option C and didn't say why then they may ask you for it. I have also heard of people who have had their applications returned because they didn't include Option C. Hard to say without knowing any details.

Good luck.

It usually takes about a month or so [depending upon the amount of applications in CIC-M]. In some cases it is less. My sponsorship approval took 2 weeks and as I am a PR myself, I used my case id to check my sponsorship status - but that is not the norm. As for not sending in an option C - The reason they request an Option C - is to have proof of actual earned income in the past year [i.e. not social assistance or welfare].

But not having this is not a problem - I did not submit my Option C, I did however, submit a letter explaining my situation, as well as pay stubs for the past year, and a letter of attestation from my employer (stating my employment history, yearly salary, and the position I held), to substantiate my case and further prove I was working etc....

If you have not heard anything within 3 weeks, I'd give them a call and inquire on the status - if you did not provide any financial documentation or letter of explanation - I would prepare a small letter and get some information to them on your past 52 weeks of income etc... as you would not want them to refuse you due to incomplete information. [You could call the CIC-M and get your assigned case id number, so as to properly label any documentation you send them, with that case id.]
