Hello everyone,
After sending application on sep 17/09, it was received on sep 18/09, and start processing in oct 09/09. approximately how long does it take for me to receive the approval letter i mean for the decision to be made and also in my application the option C is missing will that be a problem??????
PPM please i want your opinion on that
thanks in advance
It usually takes about a month or so [depending upon the amount of applications in CIC-M]. In some cases it is less. My sponsorship approval took 2 weeks and as I am a PR myself, I used my case id to check my sponsorship status - but that is not the norm. As for not sending in an option C - The reason they request an Option C - is to have proof of actual earned income in the past year [i.e. not social assistance or welfare].
But not having this is not a problem - I did not submit my Option C, I did however, submit a letter explaining my situation, as well as pay stubs for the past year, and a letter of attestation from my employer (stating my employment history, yearly salary, and the position I held), to substantiate my case and further prove I was working etc....
If you have not heard anything within 3 weeks, I'd give them a call and inquire on the status - if you did not provide any financial documentation or letter of explanation - I would prepare a small letter and get some information to them on your past 52 weeks of income etc... as you would not want them to refuse you due to incomplete information. [You could call the CIC-M and get your assigned case id number, so as to properly label any documentation you send them, with that case id.]
