Sponsorship application in Sao Paulo spouse

Hello everyone

Getting a bit worried here. Sao paulo Brazil is taking 10 months toprocesd applications. Right now we are at 6 months and we have yet to hear anything from them. We didnt put in the medical and yet they have not requesed that. Also my wife sent in a copy of her new passport with her name change and we have yet to get anything back saying that they have received. Can anyone shine a bit of light on this. I really didn't have much trust in the consulate on how they process application.

it is quite normal to not get any confirmation from IRCC about whether they received communication from you. they are not required to confirm receipt of anything. if you want to know if they received it, then order your GCMS notes.

Not hearing anything after 6 months when the average processing is 10 months is very normal. there is generally no communication from IRCC unless they want something from the applicant. it should be expected most of the process is done in the dark with little or no communication until approval time.

there is no reason to assume anything is wrong. your experience is quite normal.
