Hello everyone,
I am a naturalized Canadian citizen. I recently got married
to a girl in Philippines, where my family members didn't attend the wedding as they r in India. My family members and friends in India r fully aware about my marriage. So my question when applying spousal sponsorship how can I justify the reason my family not attended the wedding?
I met my wife online 10 months ago, and I have visited Philippines twice already.
Please share ur inputs.
Thank u

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
You said in a different post that you and your girlfriend were in a relationship since December 2019, planned to travel to meet her (for the first time) in April 2020, but could not due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, right? When did you finally meet her in-person? When were you married?

While there is no `guide' on how to convince IRCC that your marriage is genuine, you do have the ability to document your story in your application. The fact that you met online 10 months ago and have only visited twice, seems to be enough info for IRCC to certainly be curious enough to dig deeper. All you can do is be as thorough and honest in whatever you state to be true.

What is the reason why your parents didn’t attend? The Philippines is close than Canada. Did they try to get a visa if a visa is required?
