Hi
I'm a Permanent Resident, willing to sponsor my spouse to Canada. I'm afraid I'll be found ineligible to sponsor just because I'm unemployed. I was working till last month in my home country for almost a year. And now I'm looking for a job in Canada.

My question is: since I'm currently unemployed, is it a good idea to submit a bank statement to my sponsorship application to show them although I don't have income at the present time, but I've saved some money?? And if yes, how much money do you think there should be in my account?

I really appreciate your

If you can show you can support, and your not on social security it should be ok

As long as you aren't on welfare, don't have a criminal history, you should be okay.

hey im unemployed at the moment too . So far its okay so im not sure if in the later stages they will need proof of any kind but i dont think it should affect ur eligibilty.
All the best !!
