Application sponsorship accepted on 24 August 2012. Then on 22 April 2013 they asked my wife to pass the eMedicals.
My question is what is the next step and how long it takes until CIC contacts us again ?
I am going insane already with all this silence and waiting for updates from CIC.

After submitting the app, they'll send you a letter telling you if you are an approved sponsor. next you have to wait for the passport request or PPR, then the visa. time varies from SA to PPR. Some are lucky enough to have their PPR in just a month. I saw one who got her PPR in just 2 months. While others spend months and months of waiting. according to most of the posts here it usually takes 7 months from the time of app submission to PPR. here is a spreadsheet of manila timeline. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtCLbbZupkY_dHJRT2R1alhXS2xaUzFTcHZsTUhVbHc#gid=0

Everyone is going crazy waiting, including me. try to calm your self down and keep your mind busy.

Thank you for your reply. Your message really encouraged me ! That means we just have the last two steps ? because i see you are at med's done too :)

My pleasure :) In my case, i did the medicals early and included the results with my application. In less than a month my husband received the SA....if you already have your sponsorship approval or SA, then yeah that would be 2 more hurdles. After SA is passport request or PPR, then finally the much awaited visa.

my wife passed the medical checkup after 6 months of CIC approval for sponsorship (this one we got it in two weeks, they even called me to tell that my application is sent to the Manila visa office). She got an email saying that the application process is at the level when they need her medicals, and they sent her the IM1017. That was on 22 April 2013, since then we did not receive any notifications, we have no idea if the medicals was good or not. But i suppose that medicals are ok because she's healthy :) So we just wait, fighting with the loneliness by skyping each other every evening.

I think you just have to wait for the PPR then :)
