Just make sure you live in Canada two out of every five rolling years so that you can retain your PR status.

Because of the special restrictions on residency, persons in the Gulf region are usually processed in Abu Dhabi. There would be additional paperwork required from her to leave Abu Dhabi, so even though she is Indian, if she is working there and you select New Delhi, you may find that the file ends up in Abu Dhabi anyways. It's best if you decide to apply through New Delhi that she be residing in India.
yeah exactly....if u really want to b 100% sure that she is processed through ND she should move back there (quit her job + cancel the residency) before u start the process....also ND does request the passport right away, maybe even a few months before issuing the visa (that's just their own procedure) so she would have to go back to India anyway since u cannot really stay in UAE without ur passport - how would she leave, etc....there r ppl from New Delhi who were processed pretty fast, 1 month so maybe u get lucky ;) there r also ppl from Abu-Dhabi who were processed in 7 months, but i feel it's really low percentage and u cannot know if that will happen to ur file too....

for us, the applicant also works in UAE but luckily they sent his file to his home country office not here, maybe cuz his residency here will expiry soon which we made sure to say, maybe cuz of some special situation, i really cannot pin point....good luck!!
