Given the pandemic situation, does anyone have experience in reaching out to a Canadian embassy asking for special consideration to process a visa for a partner or child given that visa processing centers are still closed?

To be fair to all applicants, there is no "special consideration" you can obtain from an embassy.
Thank you for your response. To clarify, I am already in Canada and my student permit has been extended until November 2021. My wife and child are still in the Philippines and because of the pandemic they cannot process their requirements. I was hoping someone might have experienced the same situation and were still successful in getting a visa for their spouse and child.
kabayan....they can process their applications online. the thing is even if they will be approved, travel is still on hold for holders of visitor visa as of this time and there is still uncertainty when it will get back to normal.
