The last statement made it clear that the package will get returned. However, if I were you, I'm not ready to give up. I would call CIC immediately and attempt to fax another payment form to their office. But the chance is slim to none. I'm rooting for you but if not this year, I'm hoping you have good luck next year. It's a long wait, and 1 more year delay does not make that much difference.

Lenium: Do you know how many times CIC tried your credit card before returning your application? CIC tried my credit card twice on Jan 13th and both declined. I've read/heard they may try for the third time but not sure Sad. I've worked with my bank to make sure this time it will go through...

How do you know that CIC tried charging your credit card on Jan 13th...did the bank call you?

You can tell by going online and seeing the transaction record. You can see it being charged and then refunded the next line. That is a sign that CIC attempted to charge your card and it didn't go through.

I say if they are working on applications received around noon Jan 2, then the race for Jan 5 will begin very shortly because I think most couriers delivered the package before noon to this address. Not saying there is no files received in the afternoon these days but I think there won't be a lot as seen during AM hours.
Nobody knows for sure how many they have processed so far for Day 1, maybe 2000 complete apps. :)

There're 3 associates assigned to take care of the application that day. S.R. was just one of them who happened to sign the receipts.
I highly doubt that she has any idea of your packages whereabouts or when Purolator delivery time was, coz we all know what a chaos that day was.
I would say just leave her alone.

What could be the reason that charge will not go through if you have enough balance?
Did you all call your bank to make sure any charge from CIC will go through?

Thanks sc2015 for your support. No update from Purolator so far...we need at least 40 - 50 people to start the class action suit so that we can maximize the damage. Guys please respond, there is no point in venting your frustration here. We need to act together so that damage can be awarded more than millions for such malpractice of big corporation.

I called my bank and they checked for me. Otherwise, it would take a few business days until it actually shows up on your online banking...

Insufficient fund. A few other things had been charged to my CC a few days before that and I totally forgot about CIC to top up my account again.
