It states right in the guide you need incomes from 2011, 2012 and 2013 meeting LICO to apply in Jan 2015. And also it states clearly that official CRA forms such as Option C or NOA, are the ONLY proofs accepted. Paystubs are definitely not accepted as they are not CRA issued documents.
does anyone know about quebec. last year we needed to prove only one year of income. is it the same this year as well?

many thanks

Q1: Is there any official information states that NOAs need to be ORIGINAL?

Q2: Financial Evaluation Form - Point #8: What amount do we have to put for Minimum Necessary Income? The total for all three years (2011+2012+2013) or just the applicable minimum amount for 2013 or 2011 only?

Thanks!

Seems like Quebec is keeping their same unique rules, for just 1 year income proof and no extra 30%. Good incentive for people to move to Quebec if they don't qualify under rest of Canada CIC rules and really want to sponsor their parents.

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/sponsors-sponsored/index.html
Important: The gouvernement du Québec establishes the scales used to evaluate the financial capacity of sponsors residing in Québec and to determine the length of the undertaking.
Consequently, measures issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to modify the scales used to evaluate sponsors' financial capacity or the duration of the sponsorship undertaking will not apply to Québec sponsors or people sponsored by them.

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for PR in Express entry 2015.

I will like to apply for my Mother as well, probably not possible together with me so may be, later once my PR process is complete.

Yes, I read about the Supervisa for parents which will allow my Mother to live with me (once I immigrate) for 2 years straight. But what after that? :(
So, Before initiating my application, I wanted to know how much time does it take to get a complete immigration process for a parent?

Some of the posts in this forum says, 8-9 years!?? :o
Is it true? Does it take that long?

You will not be able to include your mother in your Express Entry application as a dependent. You will have to sponsor her later. You'll need to work in Canada for at least three years before you will be able to apply to sponsor your mother for PR. Once you submit the PR application, it will take at least three years to process the applications (quite likely more). So yes - it's quite possible it may take 8-9 years (or more) for your mother to get PR after you do.

Don't have a link handy, but I think better to send the original NOAs (or Option C printout which you can get by calling CIC).

I asked the same question but didn't get an asnwer. I put the amount for 2013.

Dear all,

This is a very helpful forum. I want to thank all of you great people who help us without any need for reciprocation.

My sister in Canada is applying for my mother's sponsorship in 2015. I know most of the details, but, I have 2 questions:

1. The forms have not been updated yet. It seems that they won't be updated. However, How will we know that the forms are updated (if at all they get updated!)? I mean, initially, where does CIC post there updated forms? Is it the general website link for all the required forms, or is it somewhere else?

2. There is some confusion regarding sending the NOA or Option C. Can we take their printout from the website and use them, or only CIC can provide copies of the Option C printouts. We have all the NOA originals present, should we send all originals.
What is the best and required option?

Thank you and regards,
Sohaib Ahmed

The page with all forms (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/sponsor-parents.asp) has dates beside each form indicating when it was last updated. So on Jan 2 before you send out your application, just do a quick check on this page that nothing changed to December 2014 or January 2015.

I would send originals where possible.

Including parents. So you + spouse + 2 kids + 2 parents = family size of 6. Will need to meet LICO for 6 going back to 2011.
